Freedom of Religion

"Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance."

Article 18, Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Introduction

We are announcing the availability of grants to interested and qualified persons and organizations to help empower them to advocate for their right to the practice of religion in Cuba as they deem necessary in accordance to their chosen faith or creed.
Christians, Catholics and other religious groups should be free to practice their faith and define their mission in society in the manner they believe necessary, as long as they don't violate the rights of others. Additionally, we want to affirm and promote the understanding of religious freedom embodied in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) and other international covenants.
